Trump Has a History of Insulting Native Americans

TRUMP POCAHONTAS SLUR: THE PRESIDENT HAS A LONG HISTORY OF INSULTING NATIVE AMERICANS

BY TOM PORTER ON 11/28/17 AT 8:59 AM

In a ceremony to honor Native American veterans at the White House Monday, Trump provoked the ire of groups representing North America’s indigenous communities.

Trump repeated his "Pocahontas" jibe about Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has claimed to have Cherokee ancestry. The use of the name is regarded as insulting and derogatory by many Native Americans.

“The name becomes a derogatory racial reference when used as an insult,” the Alliance of Colonial Era Tribes’ general secretary said in a statement.

“American Indian names, whether they be historic or contemporary, are not meant to be used as insults. To do so is to reduce them to racial slurs.”

He isn't so much showing signs of senility as much as he's showing signs of his ego being bruised because his fantasy view of himself is coming unraveled. This is how narcissists act when they're confronted with reality--by lashing out at the truth tellers, even to the point of violence.

3. It seemed pretty obvious he went off script with the Pocahontas jab

at Senator Warren. You could almost see the moment it popped into his head because he got that wicked, sly smile he gets when he is about to deliver a zinger. He is unable to stop himself and his impulses to deliver such a remark because he ENJOYS it. He thought he was being funny and then tried to soften it by commenting that he liked them.

Of course, he was wrong to do that because his sense of what is appropriate at moments like the reception for the Code Talkers eludes him. Every event. Every photo op. Every time he is in front of cameras is ALL about him and what makes HIM feel good. It is part of how he maintains his massive ego. Put down or attempt to destroy someone else. It was his primary method when he campaigned and he continues to do that because it makes him feel good about himself...temporarily. He has to repeat it regularly because deep inside he is very insecure and full of self loathing.

... and I can't tell. HOWEVER, there is a journalistic record going back at least two and a half decades, and the farther back you go, the darker and uglier it gets.

7. And then the Deplorables go on a Twitter War Party stirring up more racism. #HateHashtag

Creating a hate hashtag and using Trump's Russian bot army to make it trend. Is this a concerted DISTRACTION engineered for Trump's tax plan opponents?

#ElizabethWarrenIndianName, a lot of racist white people using racial epithets against a white woman

I've reported a whole bunch of accounts to Twitter this morning, especially the worst ones with high tweet counts. Help take them down if you have time, but don't forget the tax plan.

8. Was the Andrew Jackson background deliberate?

Perhaps an attempt to overshadow the real heroes and remind everyone who's the boss?

Or just an unfortunate accident caused by unthinking imbeciles?
