Sound familiar?....Moore's sppech about 'new rights in 64-65'

Both Lott and Thurmond and Jesse Helms (NC) and others were democrats who became GOPers b/c of dems' support for the rights of blacks.

Don't remember that. Just remember hearing lots of yelling and anger on radio as my dad listened to the convention.

Also remember not understanding how Truman won since everyone was so mad at him.

IIRC a major reason Dixiecrats walked out was because Truman integrated the US military.
