I would advise DUers to avoid dismissiveness and victim blaming regarding Leeann Tweeden's allegation. Granted, the acts Franken allegedly committed are mild compared to that of Roy Moore, but that does not mean they should be dismissed. Sexual harassment is rampant in our society, it must be addressed. Is it possible that these accusations were coordinated by the right to distract from the sexual assault allegations the republicans are drowning in? Possibly. Is it possible that the allegations are completely legitimate? Very possible. I was extremely disappointed to hear that Franken was being accused of harassment and even more surprised to see that DUers were immediately declaring that Tweedens story was bullshit. Please be careful what you say.

4. I agree. While I wait for more clarification of this episode before

jumping on the bandwagon to declare Senator Franken a pariah as some here have unfortunately chosen to do, I will not surrender my skepticism of his accuser and blindly accept every accusation of sexual harassment as valid. I think the volume, specificity and corroboration of the charges against Roy Moore, Harvey Weinstein and perhaps others are what made those charges credible. So far, those elements are absent with regard to Senator Franken.

I am a woman and have certainly seen my share of misogyny and harassment in a myriad of social and work environments, but that does not lead me to generalize and make quick assumptions. I'm frankly a little bit tired of being told to do so.

I will wait and let the chips fall where they may.

He's supplied no source for this supposed statement, no name for the photographer, nothing, despite being asked repeatedly.

He has a track record of spreading fake news on Twitter, according to Politifact and Snopes.

So yes, that aspect has been debunked.
