Nobody wants to be judged by their worst moment. I sure wouldn't.

That being said if you run for higher office the opposition is going to find out about your worst moment and use it like a cudgel. If there is a bright side to this mess at least there will be a Senate inquiry into Pedo Moore should he be elected.

Is that many people are being judged for terrible decisions they made many years ago, many of them a one-off bad decision and not given any credence to the time that has passes and the lessons learned. Also people are acting like all of these sexual assaults are equal.

What we should be looking for is whether or not there is a pattern of this type of behavior, the true gravity of the crime being accused, and if that person is remorseful and has learned and changes from their mistakes. "Sex scandal" is the hot topic right now so every accusation makes major news...without the proper analysis on whether that should make major news and is a bigger issue or not.

1) I don't think Al Franken should lose his job over a lone accusation of sexual misconduct.
2) We need a scale. Kissing a grown woman under false pretenses isn't nearly as odious behavior as attempted rape of a sixteen year old girl.
3) I don't buy the rehearsal explanation. His victim didn't.
4) If this was a Republican I would be doing handstands
5) The hardest thing to do is to judge your friends by the same standard you judge your enemies.
6) What you do in the darkness will be brought into the light.
7) When we discredit the source how different is that than the Deplorables discrediting the source when the perpetrator is one of them.

It’s okay to question the veracity of a source. It’s what every one of us should be doing. Credible media also does this in their reporting. It should be expected.

My view of this source is that her association with Hannity, with Trump and right wing politics raises questions.

It’s not something I would have done. If there was one intelligent point she made today it was that times have changed. In the current climate this is unnacceptable. Just like some jokes and terms from decades past are no longer acceptable. I was recently thumbing through old newspapers from the 40s. Lots of Aunt Jemima ads with her saying things like “fo sho these are the best pancakes.”

That was acceptable 75 years ago. Today it would be a shit storm of epic proportions if they advertised their product that way. As it should be.

When something happens I ask myself is this good for the Democrats ?

For better or worse and I think better we are held to higher standard than the Deplorables.

He apologized and has supported an ethics investigation of himself. A deplorable would never do that. That is the difference.

That’s why it was in a rehearsal: to make sure neither one of them would have had such a reaction to a stage kiss on stage during a performance. That’s why performers practice, usually even the kisses. She consented, she didn’t like it, and he never brought it up again — also a good decision.

He did pose for a stupid picture with an adolescent level of humor, but if the worst decision Al Franken ever made is to NOT touch someone’s breasts during a prank photo and just make it LOOK like he ALMOST was, then he must be a saint.
