4. Some people can cut right through the Gordian knot

The Gordian Knot is a legend of Phrygian Gordium associated with Alexander the Great. It is often used as a metaphor for an intractable problem (disentangling an "impossible" knot) solved easily by finding a loophole or thinking creatively ("cutting the Gordian knot"

7. And then have....

an extremely tainted, majority Republican Congress stand by and do absolutely nothing about it.

8. Unless -- of course -- a convenient distraction comes along; i.e. SQUIRREL!

NFL players have pretty much stopped taking a knee.
Hillary's book tour is over, for the most part. (So is Donna Brazille's, thankfully).
Drumpf will take a brief victory lap after having drastically lowered our standing in Asia -- and once he's had his nap, diaper change and a quick round of golf.
The War on Christmas(TM) will be confined to a few brief skirmishes until Black Friday comes.

Yeah. We're good.
For now.

Except... there's that massive, wealth-transferring tax bill thing.
But, let's not focus on that.
Too boring.
Too complicated.
Let's just trust in our RepubliCON-controlled Congress to work things out...

SQUIRREL!

13. What is the link . .

. . . between Moore being elected and Sessions resigning? Is it that the Senate will refuse to seat Moore, and the governor will appoint Sessions?
