If McConnell gets an historic tax overhaul done, all yer hot takes about how he's failed yada yada yada go puff the magic dragon.

Rs have wanted to do a tax bill like this for a LONG time. And this bill is very close to passage with a tiny majority. A BFD.

Senate Finance could send the bill to the floor shortly with votes week after Thanksgiving. Votearama. Conference. And mucho incentive to finish by Dec. 12.

to get the House or the Senate version approved by the respective parts of the legislative branch, where push comes to shove is getting the conference committee's bill passed.

My prediction: the CC's bill fails both in the House and the Senate.
