Reporters were just doing what reporters do, writing about a candidate.

So you do have to ask why Moore and why now?

He is not the only pedophile running for or holding office.

5. I just think it happened because Moore made it a national race

because of his radical views. National reporters come down and hear rumors about Moore having a thing for underage girls and then go digging. Local reporters have known about it for years, supposedly, but did nothing about it - maybe out of fear of Moore, his followers or the Alabama GOP in general?

Establishment GOPers knew of Moore's alleged claims but said nothing as well as the media. Establishment GOPers, enjoys the power their party has, but alas, the establishment I guess can't stomach Bannon and t-rump any more. Kinda late in my eyes tho. t-rump has f**ked up the USA and continues to do so.

but the repugs have been playing dirty politics for years, gerrymandering, Russia, voter suppression. Time for the Dems to take whatever measures to win.

It's nothing unusual. When that reporter found out it was common knowledge among his friends and colleagues they went off on that great investigative adventure looking for a headline. Apparently they got one. Because the victim and 30 people verified what is now the GOP age of consent. 14

If he knew he would have held onto that as a way to control Moore when he got into the Senate.

My guess is a few journalists went there to cover the primaries are were told Moore's "secret" If Moore lost the primary they most likely would have ignored it, but he won. They investigated. This story took a long time to put together. 4 women and over 30 people interviewed who supported their stories. I am sure they put it through legal several times to make sure they couldn't get sued. That is why I laughed when Moore's wife said they were going to sue. WaPo would never have published the story if it wasn't ironclad.

many of the rumors about Moore. Strange's "associates" have also heard those rumors and probably believe he can get a second bite at the apple, (keeping his senate seat)by being a write in candidate, should Moore drop out.
