How to steal a close election.

What you do going into the election is to create a sloppy, chaotic environment. That's not hard to do -- all you have to do is stop trying to be organized. In this milieu, lots and lots of mistakes will be made and they will most likely fall equally on both sides.

But then, the election is held and your side is a few votes short, so your team fans out beating the bushes for votes that may have been lost in the pandemonium of the election. Now you don't explicitly tell your people to cheat but you do give them a good ol' pep talk about just how important this win is and how happy everybody will be if they just happen to find a wad of uncounted votes that fell down behind the desk that put our guy over the top. You leave it to their imagination what it will be like if said wad of votes puts their guy over the top. You don't tell them to unfind those votes but then you don't exactly tell them not to either. After all, the adversary is a venomous spawn of Satan, so their conscience should be their guide, right?

If there's an investigation, well, the operation just needs to be updated and streamlined. It's not like anybody intentionally did anything bad, right?

And have timestamps on when the polls opened and closed. (in VA) And sign and seal up the other election pollwork and send it to the office.

The ONLY opportunity I can see is if the pollworkers all collude, before the polls close, to check in "ghost" voters and cast the ballots. But Virginia requires at least one person on the team officially represent Republicans and another represent Democrats. And you can make assumptions about how people would vote based on address, but I know a certain person who would get very upset if the Democrats started sending literature (based on a fake/altered vote).

Initial double-checking of the vote count and math in Fairfax County’s portion of Hugo’s 40th House District moved him Wednesday afternoon from trailing Democrat Donte Tanner by fewer than 100 votes to leading by 115. The canvass continues through Monday, including the consideration of the 36 provisional ballots in the race in Fairfax County and 12 more in Prince William County.
