PRESIDENT Obama!

@BarackObama
This is what happens when the people vote. Congrats @RalphNortham and @PhilMurphyNJ . And congratulations to all the victors in state legislative, county and mayors' races. Every office in a democracy counts!

not just when there is a Republican terror in the WH (Bush in 2006 and Donald now). Vote in midterms! Vote every time! No assumptions!

We make change (referred to law enforcement as I recall) by focusing on every office, not just in Washington, from each judge to every row office, every incumbent matters

which is why we must be very suspicious of DUers with negative attitudes trying to discourage us claiming both parties are the same, no point voting, it's all gerrymandered, etc. State legislatures draw the district lines and can fix the gerrymandering.

Local elections can prepare liberal Democratic candidates for higher office who understand their local constituents and issues.

Every little election counts.

There are many races the Dems would have won if it weren't for voter suppression, voter ID laws, gerrymandering, and of course, the recent Russian interference in our elections. I'm glad that we won so many races this time, but we have to make significant changes if we are to take back power and keep it. Republicans always have something else in their bag of tricks.

I can't get terribly excited right now, as this is the way it should be under the circumstances. Democrats, myself included, need to vote even when they are not inspired by lofty rhetoric and charismatic candidates.

Sorry, don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I've been high on wins before and recall how hard it was to sustain the thrill.
