‘If We Come to Power’

“Looking ahead, if we come to power, we can return to this issue and think what to do about it,’’
Trump Jr. said of the 2012 law, she recalled. “I understand our side may have messed up, but it’ll take a long time to get to the bottom of it,” he added, according to her.

2. The lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, said in a two-and-a-half-hour interview in Moscow

that she would tell these and other things to the Senate Judiciary Committee on condition that her answers be made public, something it hasn’t agreed to. She has received scores of questions from the committee, which is investigating possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. Veselnitskaya said she’s also ready -- if asked -- to testify to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Putin: So Donald, you know my good friend Veselnitskaya? She has this long list of many, many questions from your people that she is being asked to answer. You know the list I am referring to? I must tell you Donald that I am very concerned about Natalia. She is being quite uncooperative and has told me that she made up her mind a long time ago - that her testimony must be honest, full and public. I wish there was something I could do to help your son, Donald.....

.....it's just her word against his. Not enough to charge him. Just more tax payer millions spent that go nowhere.

The public testimony she demands is concerning. She could say anything. Twist events to Junior's advantage if that's what Putin wants. Etc. She's not beholden to our process or anything else but Putin and has an agenda only to undermine our system of law.

Hard to say if the Putineers prefer Pence to Trump. They'll opt to undermine our stability and whichever outcome has that effect is what guides them. If what they do or say hurts or helps Trump is completely unimportant to them.

10. Why would anyone trust anything she says?

She was the point person for Putin in the June meeting. She'll say whatever he tells her to say. She's not obligated to obey our laws, and has absolutely no motivation to do so. So why would we care what she says?

When I first started reading this I had to double check that it wasn't an Onion article.

13. I wouldn't. She'd go to the meeting and then lie her head off. She'd say the reporter lied. nt

She'd go to a public meeting, lie her head off -- and then say the reporter made the story up.
