It seems to be impossible that the above mentioned were not somehow directly involved. They had to know about all this mayhem. MoConnell objected to exposing the Russian interference right from the start. And his efforts are in the open and also in the public record.
I am sure the GOP wants' Mueller fired because they wrecked this election and we all know it. They welcomed Russian aid and I bet there is a lot of Russian money in GOP campaigns. Otherwise why are they so resistant. Not the same party as the GOP during Watergate. In the Nixon era this party would have exonerated Nixon and kept him in office and this media would have attacked the Democrats.
My how much has changed.

(3,010 posts)their involvement prevents them from squashing it?
I heard that if you are under investigation and you act to interfere, that is obstruction. What if McConnell, Ryan, and the RNC CAN'T stop Mueller now?
That'd be sweeeeeet!!

(8,989 posts)They knew in advance. Hence the SCOTUS debacle.
And Nunes got Ryan's nod to cheat, lie and evade.
Unless those two, at least, are removed to prison, we will face the same nasty crap we have had to endure for 9 years.

(1,153 posts)The GOP instigated all of this scorched earth Southern strategy bullshit with Atwater and Gingrich and it has culminated in raw division and racism to alter U.S. politics forever, ie, voter disenfranchisement, trickle down voodoo economics and treason. That is their vision of MAGA. Sick warped and soulless traitors controlling the levers of power in all levels of politics local, state and national. .

they are all complicit in one way shape or form.
whether or not they will be revealed as such is another story, but all their hands are dirty in this mess.
now that things are starting to heat up, watch for who panics.

(403 posts)I know the repugs are smart enough to hide them well, but this can't be the first time Russia has tired to gain influence. What easier way to do that than buying members of congress?

(1,148 posts)Seems enough in my opinion to get Mueller questioning complicity.
I'm so happy everybody! Merry Christmas, I have needed this so badly!

KIEV, Ukraine A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Theres two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump, McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016, exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia.
House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthys assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy.
