... "When we did our intelligence committee assessment, we were aware that there had been research done and that some Republican candidates, as a matter of fact, had contracted through I think Fusion GPS to obtain what later became what's known as the dossier," Clapper said Wednesday.
He added: "The key thing is, doesn't matter who paid for it. It's what the dossier said and the extent to which it was corroborated or not" ...

(51,583 posts)I couldn't remember his name but know his face (I am a visual person) so when I saw him I stopped what I was doing. Distractions, diversions, deflections...get to the real issue at hand. TREASON! The Mercers, the moron's campaign and various Clinton haters from way back did it all for $$$ and power. The GOP also sold what tiny remnants of any soul they may have once had to the Russians and continue to enable him every day. Why isn't Nunes being stopped by Ryan, why aren't they making him enforce the signed Russian Sanctions Bill, etc. Money, power control is not limited to the Republicans as Harvey Weinstein and other liberals has proven, but it is destructive, dangerous and as American as apple pie and not going to change in my lifetime unfortunately.

(10,269 posts)on behalf of Jeb! (and I still have tuition due this semester). The Bushes apparently hate Trump and everything his crude, crass and monetarily-obnixious ass stands for. I'll admit that Old Money can have that opinion, but I think in this case, their opinion isn't far off the mark.
