Once again! We have those who have no clue!!!!
There was two guys talking at the truck stop I was in earlier tonight. They said that Trump should never be held responsible for the 4 soldiers killed. Then they both agreed that the GOP has not gone far enough to find proof to bring Hillary up on charges for Benghazi. I was not only shocked to hear this! There was older man sitting close to them and must have over heard them talking too? He got up and went to their table and asked if they really knew what they were talking about or were they just idiots? He told them if they would have been educated about the these events, they would have know that these bad things happens all to often and that known the facts would help them understand that the president is the one who is responsible for these issues no matter what! He said Obama was the president when Benghazi happened and Trump was the president when Niger happened. He went on to say when 9-11 happened, Bush was the president so on and so on! He ended the statement with, if you want to blame Hillary for something, maybe you should have voted for her and not the over blown self-righteous idiot that is president now! Then he walked away, but turned back when one said "who the hell are you"? He answered "I am the uncle of one of the soldiers who was killed in Iraq in 2006"! And then he walked away saying "that is who hell I am"!

3. The vast majority of deplorables who harp about Benghazi have zero knowledge of the events.
They couldn't tell you anything about what happened except to say some people died (not always a given, though). In short, they know as much about Benghazi as 45 does (which is practically nothing).

4. The vast majority of deplorables who harp about anything...
...have zero knowledge of anything they are talking about. The profound ignorance of far too many Americans is the greatest danger our nation has ever faced. The Founders of our Republic knew that an informed and educated populace was necessary for a successful Democracy. Unfortunately, our people have become stupid and believe that their ignorance is equal to our education.

6. It's Fox News - totally devoid of facts and information
Fox News makes no effort to educate their audience to what's going, here's what happened, these are the facts.
Therefore the people who watch only Fox News and nothing else are completely stupid. They don't even realize how uninformed they are. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

24. Or they learned it from Michael Bay
It's either the non-information from Fox News or the ridiculous jingoistic nationalistic 13 Hours movie directed by Michael Bay that they learned to blame people who were not responsible.

It is amazing that every time, these people have nothing to say after they get a lesson of the facts!

10. Feels pretty damn good to have truth and the facts on our side.
That helps relieve my depression from all this crap sometimes. Maybe if we find ways to plant the seeds of truth, reason and factual information, it might start to stick a little bit. Just enough to make some of them stay home for the next election!
I'm actually glad I'm retired and not working many of the job sites I used to visit, 'cause I know I would be hearing it every day. I never liked to feel bitter against people I worked with and relied on. These are sad days. ![]() |

13. The sad thing is that
we progressive-minded folk are of the illusion that when we tell the ignorant the facts, we'll convince them. Instead, they all too often dig in their heels, get mad at us, and become even more adamant that their particular "truth" is the real truth. I don't know how to fight this, but I've noted that the same thing holds true for those folks who take the Bible literally. You could argue with them until the day you die, and you'll never be able to convince them otherwise. People believe what they WANT to believe. Just the same way that white supremacists choose to believe they are superior to everyone else. And CINOs believe that homosexuality is a sin*. Perhaps no one knows that better than Dolt45. Gawd help us all.
*Frankly, whenever I hear CINO pastors and politicians condemning the LGBTQ, I strongly suspect they are projecting....and you all know what I mean by that.... |

17. Funny, I was thinking of this Paul Simon lyric yesterday :
"All lies and jest
Still, a man hears what he wants to hear And disregards the rest." This lyric has been popping into my head a lot lately. |

Well, I guess something needs to replace the endless loop of Tom Petty singing in the Travelling Willburys.

12. I find this entire narrative to be dubious. It smacks of the kind of story that ends with...
"And then the entire group of passengers on the airplane stood up and applauded the brave soldier! And took up a collection for his ticket home!"
It's just too pat. |

He may have been an uncle, but it seems a little too contrived. Maybe he just said it in the hope that it would embarrass them.

Benghazi and Niger? Same fucking thing!! Only difference is we have a party drunk with power and the other side happened to be in charge when Benghazi happened.

I read a lot of threads about the current sad news and I've never read any post here saying that. I haven't heard anyone in real life say that.
