Jaws Drop As Trump Tries To Handpick Attorneys In Charge Of Investigating His Administration

"For him to be interviewing candidates for that prosecutor who may in turn consider whether to bring indictments involving him and his administration seems to smack of political interference."

Donald Trump’s disregard for the rule of law continued on Thursday as a new report indicates that the president has personally interviewed several candidates for U.S. Attorney positions in New York.

According to Politico, one of the candidates Trump personally interviewed “would have jurisdiction over Trump Tower and be in a position to investigate the Trump administration.”

More from the report:..............

..............…
The Southern District of New York is an especially notable position since it has jurisdiction over Trump Tower. Preet Bharara, the former U.S. attorney there, has asserted he was conducting an investigation into the Trump administration when Trump fired him along with all other U.S. attorneys — as is standard when an administration switches — earlier this year.

..........

“It is neither normal nor advisable for Trump to personally interview candidates for US Attorney positions, especially the one in Manhattan,” Bharara tweeted Wednesday...........................

He still thinks he can do what he usually does, LIE, bluster, threaten, bribe, hold his breath, and lean on others to lie by backing him up and that these juvenile tactics will work with the presidency as well as it did in his money laundering. Since Mueller is working with the state of NY, this is drumpf's way of putting his thumb on that scale and short circuiting anything that Mueller is accomplishing on the orange assface front. As always he wants someone who gives no fucks about the law or justice but is personally loyal to him and will protect him, same std. he used for Gorsuch.

..being elected President.

The President has so much executive power, overlooking so much of the law enforcement and investigation departments. I don't think it was ever anticipated what would happen if somehow, some way, such a crooked evil traitor would ever be approved by the American populace to hold that much power.

he is one of many AG's (including my state AG, Maura Healey) that is suing him over the loss of the ACA subsidy:

"Attorney General Eric Schneiderman joined 17 other attorneys general suing the Trump administration over the end of critical subsidy payments to insurers selling coverage through the Affordable Care Act.

"I will not allow President [Donald] Trump to once again use New York families as political pawns in his dangerous, partisan campaign to eviscerate the Affordable Care Act at any cost," Schneiderman said in a statement.

At a Friday news conference in New York City before the suit was filed, Schneiderman announced that his office and officials from other states, including California, would file the multistate lawsuit, calling Trump’s decision to end the cost-sharing reduction payments “cruel and unlawful.” Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy and Connecticut AG George Jepsen, also Democrats, are among those who joined the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

The decision to end the payments to insurers, estimated at $7 billion this year, is the biggest blow to the Obama-era health law, which Republicans in Congress have unsuccessfully attempted to repeal over the last several months, as reported in sibling publication The National Law Journal."

It's entirely possible that NO ONE "can or will" stop him!

He controls the Executive Branch.
His Republican Party controls the legislative branch (both houses of Congress)
His Republican Party now controls the Judicial Branch as well (Supreme Court)

No more "checks and balances"
No more "Separation of Powers"

I knew Trump & his cronies would be awful, but I guess I didn't let myself believe they would be able to destroy so much of the good and gain so much for themselves financially and otherwise so quickly and with so little seemingly possible to stop them.

If the great majority of Americans knew everything that's happening, we could get them out, but too many can't keep up with the details, and the MSM continues to normalize this radical, dangerous administration.
