It's not just tax cuts they want

I think another big reason Republicans are tolerating tRump is control of our judicial system.
They got their way with the SCOTUS and now they are stacking the courts with rightwingers at a rapid pace.

3. They want to collapse our system

Our system of "liberty and justice for all".

They want to roll back every single “progressive” achievement from the last 80 yrs! They want a society completely unregulated and totally controlled by their chosen overlords...civil rights, environments protections, unions, consumer protection, and on and on be damned!

2. The only thing to fall back on could be Trump's tendency to be

passive aggressive, that is, when he feels republicans have "disrespected" him, he drags his feet on their wish list.

5. Speed obviously has no relationship to quality.

There are a lot of really nasty people being nominated and passed right on through the confirmation process. Most seem to possess as their chief qualification being either a supporter of trump and or a right wing evangelical religious bias. Neither gives confidence of proper decisions untainted by their own personal biases. This is not what one should expect for fair judicial decisions in this country from our judiciary.

6. Nothing is being done about our compromised electoral system.

Why do we expect different results in 18 & 20 if we have the same compromised system?

8. They still want to gut SS and Medicare, too.

Those are the last big pots of money they have not yet been able to steal from us. They also want to sell off the country's physical assets (National Parks, government buildings, etc.) to the highest bidder. Just like they've been trying to do for decades. This is their last shot at it. May they shoot themselves, instead.
