oskar schindler vs. donald trump:

first up, oskar schindler:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108052/quotes?ref_=tt_ql_trv_4

Oskar Schindler: I could have got more out. I could have got more. I don't know. If I'd just... I could have got more.
Itzhak Stern: Oskar, there are eleven hundred people who are alive because of you. Look at them.
Oskar Schindler: If I'd made more money... I threw away so much money. You have no idea. If I'd just...
Itzhak Stern: There will be generations because of what you did.
Oskar Schindler: I didn't do enough!
Itzhak Stern: You did so much.
[Schindler looks at his car]
Oskar Schindler: This car. Goeth would have bought this car. Why did I keep the car? Ten people right there. Ten people. Ten more people.
[removing Nazi pin from lapel]
Oskar Schindler: This pin. Two people. This is gold. Two more people. He would have given me two for it, at least one. One more person. A person, Stern. For this.
[sobbing]
Oskar Schindler: I could have gotten one more person... and I didn't! And I... I didn't!

and now, ladies and gentlemen, i give you the president of the united states, donald trump:

benedict donald: "i hate to tell you, puerto rico but you've thrown our budget a little out of whack because we've spent a lot of money on puerto rico."

This country badly NEEDS a Schindler-able person at the helm...someone in the mold of our previous president instead of the carnival barking madman and vulgarian we are saddled with in his stead.

History is unkind to men of Trump's ilk...when the money and adulation are gone and the bones dried to dust, the memory is not of "greatness" or "unbelievable greatness", it is of lost opportunity and squandered lives in the wake of such an imbecile.

Schindler had a redemption for his life and managed to produce an undeniable good in the process.
Trump is the shit stain on used underwear and an inability to detect his own stench.

he is simply a virus, a walking, talking disease. he can't be convinced, there will never be any enlightenment. he simply is what he is.

what galls me is all his enablers, all the people who see a plainly naked man yet somehow insist on admiring the emperor's new clothes. or at least, who refuse to call him out on it.

the republican elected officials, the republican donors, the media, etc.

many politicians' careers have been brought down in an instant when the media decides they're done, and for vastly less than many things donnie has done.

yet they continue to treat him well, at best they sit and wonder what it will take to actually bring him down.

The troubling thing to me is that I believe I know the reason and I just can't believe its true...MONEY.

Trump is great for ratings because people love to rubberneck a car crash. CBS head was on record as saying as much last year. Its depressing to the highest degree...

they get ratings when right-wing *ssholes spout partisan crap. right-wingers eat that crap up, there are people who leave their televisions on foxnews 24/7. other than foxnews itself, even liberals turn the tv on to see the latest outrageous crap some right-winger says.

whereas, right-wingers will change the channel as soon as they hear someone they think might be a liberal.

moreover, advertisers tend to be republican, or at least tend to think a right-wing demographic is better for business.
