If Trump can fly in why not a help a lot sooner.
I just got up so missed his stupid speech.
Air Force is a big plane. Other big planes could have flown in to. Planes with people and food and water. Then taken people out to hospitals. President Obama or Clinton would have had planes and ships ready to go . I guess all that big water did not keep him out.

1. I read that Puerto Rico had to use rescue squads to clear the runway
for the orange pig to land.

2. Not surprised.
Military personal could have been brought in after the hurricane to do that.
Use helicopters and ships. We do have military people who know how to that. The goal is to kill people. To make the island cheap land for sale. Plenty of government money then. |

3. Aren't there ENTIRE companies in the military...
Whose very JOBS are to set transportation routes, housing, communications, etc., under the worst of conditions?
I'm thinking the Army Corps of Engineers, the Seabees in the Navy. Even the Air Force has one, I think. WTF else are these guys doing? We're not fighting the Battle of Guadalcanal. |

4. I was in the Army.
Lots of well trainned people.
No excuse for what happened. The military could have done so much in short period of time. They were not ordered to go. |

5. That would seem on the surface to be the
most logical thing to do. But,we are dealing with a GOP run Government Response and a Island in big water. Who owns or operates the Shipping Companies that serve the American Territories? In that lies what where and why of this Nasty Response. Hummmm,Elaine Chao's family runs the US Flagged ships under a special no bid Contract. What could be their interests one would ask? Donnies personal Friend John Paulsen holds how much of P.R.'s Debt obligations which he bought at 20% of face value, and Donnie telling him he should not worry cause we will pay him back at face.
Then you have a Stupid say that Katrina was worse? Give me a break. |

6. Well, of course. Follow the damn money.
Donald Trump and his friends would steal the coins holding shut a dead person's eyes.

7. Sounds like a set up.
There was a good reason the military was not sent in.
I see the island in private hands before long. A private playground for the very rich. First get rid of the people. Got to clean some dirty russian money also. The money to be made. |

9. Very possible.
Have not been to PR since 02,and the buzz was tons of Foreign deep pockets were scouting the Island. Our friends on St Croix have been monitoring this since they were retiree Real-estate brokers, lots of West European so called Real estate development types. They evacuated to the Mid West before the Storms and are just now headed back to see what they have to deal with.

10. I agree. They are gentrifying Puerto Rico.
This hurricane saved them money on demolition costs.

12. There are some world class
views or vista's on the Caribbean Sea side. Atlantic side is nice, but the beaches on the other side are to die for. Same for St Croix,Thomas and John's. Last trip you could see this coming just by the Local Chatter. What really killed the Locals was the loss of their Garment Industry and all the associated services that went with it.

11. Smells of big money.
That is why Trump said big water.
He was thinking of the big money to be made. Maybe a trump hotel or two. Russian money to be cleaned. |

14. Yep.
Just waiting for a hurricane to come along.
Keep the island poor. This could be any of us. If the rich want it they will steal it. |
