BREAKING: Former HHS Secretary Price Fails Audition To Be New Drummer For Lynyrd Skynyrd

No link yet. Breaking news.

JACKSONVILLE FL - Former HHS Secretary Tom Price met today with Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd to audition for the role of their new drummer.

Founding member Gary Rossington told local reporters that "It really didn't go too well. We were playing "Sweet Home Alabama" but I think he was playing "Gimme Three Steps," or maybe it wasn't even a Skynyrd song at all. Every time we sang the words "Sweet Home Alabama," he let out a rebel yell, but as I understand it, he was born in Michigan, and his rebel yell wasn't much better than his drumming."

Reporters spoke with Price as he entered the rehearsal studio, and he seemed anxious to make a good impression. He pulled a CD from his briefcase and said "I bought this just so I could learn all of their hits on the flight down here." When informed that he was holding a copy of Bon Jovi's 1986 album "Slippery When Wet," a clearly disoriented Price replied "Well, I guess that explains why it didn't have "Free Bird" on it.

Jon Bon Jovi did not return CNN's calls at press time. Developing story...
