(63,221 posts)Doesn't he have a stylist? Surely with his money he could afford to come up with something more flattering.
maddiemom
(5,106 posts)that being said, I'm sure a LOT of effort goes into his intricate "styling." I've always assumed the conceit is that it's all his own hair, no toupees for him! It must take time and effort to arrange his thin locks "just so."

(562 posts)Especially mom's enormous fur hat lump but also dad's horrid jet black toupee strip. A collection of freaks.

(146,248 posts)off the US mid-Atlantic coast. Now, someone tells me that's Bermuda, which I was sure was a Caribbean island. Damn! I should have paid attention in geography class at age 14, I guess, instead of trying to look down someone's blouse. Who knew?
bdamomma
(63,788 posts)Bermuda is not part of the Caribbean, we are the ones sitting in the middle of Atlantic!
Here you go: Whatever I can do to help you out Mineral Man.
The land area which is closest to Bermuda is Cape Hatteras in North Carolina which is 665 miles (i.e. 1,070kms) due west of Bermuda and on the east coast of the U.S.

(146,248 posts)Thanks! North Carolina, indeed. Why, that's nowhere near the Caribbean, is it?
bdamomma
(63,788 posts)East coast but we are strategically located to dodge some (hurricane) bullets, plus our houses are made of concrete block and limestone roofs. Something that those poor Caribbean islands need strong structures to withstand structural damage. We will be getting rain from Maria tomorrow, but we are ok!!
Also we are accepting some British Virgin Island citizens here and offering them jobs, which is pretty nice/considerate, and not like that stupid jerk we have in the WH. Yes, I am a ex-pat.
MineralMan
(146,248 posts)and googling it as a possible vacation location. It looks quite lovely, and might make a great place for my wife and I to use our renewed passports next year. We've been to the Caribbean, and enjoyed ourselves very much, but Bermuda looks rather inviting.
bdamomma
(63,788 posts)to do list!! we are small island only 21 miles long but we have the best beaches, and the people are friendly. I have been living here for 28 years and love it.
MineralMan
(146,248 posts)I even looked up shore fishing possibilities, which also sound interesting, since I enjoy angling.
I'll do some more research and see when we might be able to travel next year. We need a trip to someplace in the middle of nowhere, I think.

Even so, it's only 1000 miles from Miami - two days away by freighter - they could have been there last Thursday if he wasn't obsessed with the NFL.
