I'm being totally serious. Do they ?

1. Undoubtedly, but they need to get the Republicans out of the way
and then convince party conservatives it's a good idea.

9. They have things but they would need to have hearing with experts
And that's why control of congress is important.

10. Not talking about single payer I'm asking about a plan to fix the things about
Obamacare that need fixing. Is there a plan ?

20. It sounds like you're asking if there is a renovation plan when we're trying to keep the
house from burning down.

13. According to Senator Al Franken on Jimmy Kimmel last night, yes.
He even stated it was bipartisan and was moving along, that is until, McConnell shut it down.

14. Yes.
The Democratic Party's candidate for president last year did (bring back the public option). Democrats this year have proposed plans: cost of prescription drugs, setting up a reinsurance program for flagging exchanges, public option; some Democrats think that a legislative fix isn't necessary, that if Republicans wouldn't sabotage the law it would work. From the Atlantic: "The Democrats ideas fall roughly into two categories: proposals that might attract support from Republicans as part of a short-term fix if the repeal effort fails, and those that will be viable if the party can retake one or both chambers of Congress in 2018."
You see, if you search for "Democrats plans to fix the ACA" you can find lots of information about this. You're welcome. |

15. That does not speak well for the party - that one has to google to find out what the Dem plans are
They need a message and fast, one that we all know and can repeat. The Rs campaigned on "repeal and replace" - easy to remember, but completely meaningless - I know.... but in our current society with a 20 second attention span, we need something that defines the Dem plan that is easily repeatable and will reach voters. I don't know the answer, but I to hope our party leaders find something that encapsulates the Dem plan that is easy for voters to grab onto

18. Hillary wanted it "fix the ACA" and "empower states with a public option".
Is that simple enough for you?

19. Well, I don't live in the U.S. so don't have newspapers, TV, radio, other people to talk to ...
to know what's going on with American politics. If I can find out by googling and watching YouTube videos, why don't Americans who LIVE there seem to know? I don't get it. I see these posts asking why Democrats didn't do this or haven't done that, and wonder what the point is. That the MSM isn't telling them? Since when have the MSM been fair with liberals, been interested in anything but profits? Whenever I see ABC's Nightline and a program full of pop stars and reality TV, I feel bad for Ted Koppel.
People these days have computer machines and cable TV. I know what Democrats stand for without slogans and don't understand why other people don't. It makes me feel cranky. |

16. 19 red States have failed to expand Medicaid under the ACA.
That sounds like a good place to start.

21. My point in all this is that everyone seem to have their shorts in a bunch
afraid of Bernie not supporting Obamacare talking about single payer instead. But if we are to have a successful debate there has to be a plan to fix the things that need fixing. You know damn well the repukes will bring these real and imagined problems up . So I don't recall a specific plan to do this. I will go back and see what Hillary said but we need to be prepared.
