Medicare for all will be a long campaign

Talking to neighbors and friends about the advantages to everyone will slowly convince people. Canada was able to implement their health care plan by people talking about the advantages of single payer health care. We will also need to eliminate the price gouging of modern medicine and pharmacology that says if something costs $5,000 to produce but saves a million dollars then the creator can charge $950,000 for the service or drug. Companies are allowed a fair profit, but not at a cost of a your money or your life medical health care.

1. Most people know how Medicare works. They have family members on it, framing it as Medicare for all

is a smart way to do it.

2. This Plan Makes The Most Common Sense For Us.....

and if presented to the American People the right way - I'm confident we can get the American People behind this plan.

If you read Chapter 4 in Bernie's new book "Bernie Sanders Guide to the Political Revolution" he presents it is such a simple and concise way - that every American should be able to comprehend and get behind. Bottom line it is a common sense concept that is right for this country at this moment.

It doesn't need to be a long campaign because the American People have received a good feel for the whole issue of health care from the time Hillary got involved in the issue back in Bill's administration - through the whole campaign for the ACA with the ultimate passage - through the many times that the Repugs tried to repeal and replace ACA - through the latest failure of the Trump administration and the Repugs to make anything happen.

Bernie's concept of 'Medicare For All' is an idea whose time has come.

We here at DU need to get behind this concept and push to make it happen.
