"Both sides do it" is a poor argument when you are one of the Sides

Mitt was on FOX this morning. I like it when Mitt goes on FOX because he is comfortable there and thus says even weirder things than usual.

Today he deflected why he won't release his tax returns by pointing out that Eric Holder has failed to produce documents for Congress, and that Obama is responsible for the culture of non-transparency.

Suggested follow-up Questions:

1) Are you saying that Holder is right to not turn over those documents to Congress?

2) If not, does that mean you should be held in contempt of the American Voter?

3) Why are you part of Obama's culture of non-transparency? Which other Obama practices you have identified as corrupt do you intend to imitate?

2. It didn't work for most of us when we were five years old

"BUT MA, HE DID IT TOO!!" was only likely to get a phone call to the other kid's mother so you'd both get walloped.

I have no idea why grownups think it's going to work.

3. It's a fallacious argument - a form of ad-hominem attack.
