Prelude to his senate run, then prez.... I must admit he is doing a yeoman's job. All over the state keeping people informed. Making sure there is gas and water. Pleading for people to evacuate. BTW his Spanish is horrible.. I figured if he can spend millions on buying the governorship, he could buy a good Spanish language coach...
Good job Rick, even though I would not vote for you..

3 hours needs to be brought to account. Sorry but I've lived in 4 cities in Florida and I've never seen so much of a mess. The one that has been messed up is the only one with a Republican governors, and Republican mayors and a Republican president. Clinton had the best FEMA director James Watts and he turned around FEMA.

He was robotic in disaster situations in the early years. Florida has so many of them he naturally improved.

I give him some credit for it but mostly I despise the fact that so many Floridians now judge Scott primarily due to these situations, with no clue or care toward his overall caliber and priorities.

Unfortunately it's a perfect stepping stone stage for him, not completely unlike Bryan Norcross shaping his reputation via Andrew in 1992. Norcross wasn't political elevation but until that hurricane he was mostly an obscure second tier weatherman on the local CBS affiliate in Miami. He wasn't even very good day to day. But none of that ever mattered again based on conventional wisdom toward his Andrew performance.

My god, shut the hell up, and get on with the message.

He just kept repeating the same speech again and again.

And the story about the little old lady. Somehow, she was rescued at 3 feet, then it became 6 feet. He lost me on that one.

At least he took the stupid hat off lol.

He may have screwed the pooch on this one; panicking the whole state, as they rush from south to north, from east to west, then back again because of his dire pronouncements. All as the storm dances around...mocking him, or so it seems.

This is why folks never evacuate. They don't believe these fools.
