Tomi Lahren's Ancestor Tried To Forge U.S. Citizenship Papers, And People Cant Stop Laughing

http://www.guacamoley.com/lol/2017/09/09/1Iaf5f/tomi-lahrens-ancestor-tried

On Tuesday, September 5th, President Trump announced he was planning on ending the DACA program and called on Congress to draft replacement legislation before Obama's signature immigration policy expired at the end of the next 6 months. The DACA program protects those were brought into the country illegally at a young age from deportation, and allows them to work in the U.S. while giving them no path towards citizenship. DACA recipients, known as Dreamers, were often raised in this country (they pay taxes and have committed no crimes), and are being threatened with deportation to a place they have no memory of or connection to. While the Trump administration defended his disavowal of DACA as an attempt to protect the rights of Americans whose jobs are being "usurped" and wages lowered by DACA recipients, protests began almost immediately in reaction to this new policy. Critics have accused President Trump's decision to put DACA in jeopardy as cruel, short-sighted, and racist.

One person who does not have any problem with DACA ending, however, is conservative pundit Tomi Lahren. Tomi's views on immigration are well documented:

That's right. Tomi's great-great-grandfather, Constantin Dietrich, was born in Odessa, Russia in 1887 and came to America looking for a better life. While living here, he was indicted by a grand jury for forging a document and swearing falsely to the date of his declaration (apparently because he had let too much time pass before completing the naturalization process). It looks like he was guilty of the crime and was in danger of being deported!

An ironic twist: the jurors took pity on poor Constantine and acquitted him of the charges. He became a full-fledged citizen in 1926 and now, just over 90 years later, his great-great-grandaughter would have wanted him thrown out of the country! Jennifer Mendelsohn, the genealogist who discovered the factoid, had no idea she was going to track down such a juicy detail:

I was curious how long it would take me to hit an immigrant if I dug into the tree of Tomi Lahren, the platinum blonde, snowflake-hating ultra-conservative firebrand recently hired by Fox News. The answer was ‘not long,'” Mendelsohn wrote, “but I never expected to hit pay dirt quite like I did.

Platinum blondes who think all those other people are the real immigrants. How great is it that Tomi's Russian!

I'd like to investigate every prominant anti-immigrant Trumpster and see if they have the correct documents going back to when their ancestors entered this country.

citizenship at birth for the children of people not here legally.

My uncle claimed my great great grandfather came in steerage - people who sneaked onto ships without paying for a ticket. I guess he thought that sounded brave or romantic. Then he is against birthright citizenship. I really got him when I pointed out that since great grandfather came illegally, none of us would be US citizens.

Not stowaways. Cheapest tickets. My guess is most Russian and Eastern European immigrants in late 19th and early 20th century traveled this way.

is that the first person in our family to come to the US was smuggled inside a coffin. My grandmother used to tell that story. I wish I had details like when it was an the person's name.

These people actually take pride in not knowing their ancestry and think it makes them more American somehow.

I had a Trumpster coworker who claimed she didn't know her ancestry because they've been in the US for too long. She had an Irish last name and looked very Irish.

Send her back to Russia!

They used these arguments against Japanese and other Americans during WW2, and more recently against Muslims and anyone who looks Muslim. So why not Russians like Tomi Lahren?

Great story, and it should be shouted from the rooftops, but I HATE these clickbait "in the know" headlines that litter social media:

"You won't believe what this 80's star looks like now"
"The camera man just kept filming"
"You won't believe what she wore to the premiere"
"When you see it..."
"She didn't know why people were cheering"
"Fashion flubs that will drop your jaw"
"The audience saw more than she intended"

all of that shit. Garbage! More often than not it's paired with a teaser pic of some attractive young woman with the titillating promise of an accidentally exposed breast or flash of underwear. Spicy!

I'm sure that it's because I'm old and out of touch, but I don't understand how anyone can read those and not see them as cynical ploys to grab someone's eyeballs for the sake of revenue.

Having said all that, Ms. Lahren is close to worthless. If she were 40 pounds heavier or a few shades darker, no one would give this "pundit" the time of day.

when I found out her exact age, is what makes her opinion worth televising? Being over twice her age, my life experience tells me my opinions are based on more experience. If she graduated from Harvard with straight As in political science, she would be in graduate school right now. Or maybe she is putting it off and making the money first. It just cracks me up and it seems like looks alone make her worth hearing on political matters. In which case, why not Miss South Carolina too? At least that might be entertaining as she was so dense.

And give us some cute guys, too! If we women want to hear political opinions from random young men, make at least nice on the eyes!
