There is nothing wrong with Obama's ad

I'm hearing a lot of defending of the ad, along the lines of "they hit us below the belt so we should do the same in return". I disagree. There's nothing to defend, and he's not hitting anyone below the belt.

Romney's message, which he has been pounding, is that "Obama doesn't understand America". This is such a huge lie that no one could come to that conclusion by looking at what Obama has done. Romney can't put anything in his ads that shows Obama's unamericanism, so Romney has to come out and say it, over and over.

Contrast that with Obama's message about Romney, which he doesn't have to say, it speaks for itself: Romney is a huge phony, his patriotism and everything else.

1. It was the rethugs who whined that the ad was

like their below-the-belt tactics. DUers know the ad was factual and are more laughing at the irony of them admitting their tactics were based on falsehoods, innuendo, and racism and trying to once again project.

2. BLOOMBERG's, not exactly a Leftie lap-dog, doesn't have a problem with it:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-07-15/romney-s-bain-yielded-private-gains-socialized-losses.html

Whatís clear from a review of the public record during his management of the private-equity firm Bain Capital from 1985 to 1999 is that Romney was fabulously successful in generating high returns for its investors. He did so, in large part, through heavy use of tax-deductible debt, usually to finance outsized dividends for the firmís partners and investors. When some of the investments went bad, workers and creditors felt most of the pain. Romney privatized the gains and socialized the losses.

3. Anything done which speaks the truth is not wrong, no matter how hard-hitting.

I say the harder the better!
