Me thinks this is a planned strategy to scare Reps and Senators out of impeachment even if it is clearly warranted. Watch for more righties to start echoing this not so veiled threat!

We all saw the turn out in Boston after the white supremacists rioted in Charlottesville, right? About 100 of them cowered under that park covering while 40,000 demonstrated against them. There are way more people against any new civil war and they won't stay inactive and allow themselves and their country to be overrun by white supremacists. There won't be any pick-up truck rebellion by neo-nazis that won't be put down quickly. |

So I've been a long time reader of this website, but I saw this comment and I knew....This is the time I need to make an account.
Why are both of you jumping for joy at the prospects of a Civil War? Why are both of ya'll so excited to be able to rejoin the Military and wage war and kill fellow Americans? Is that really where we want this country to go? Do we want every semblance of the American way torn down in a bloody war spilling out into American Soil and into our cities, streets, and homes. Do we want our children, parents, and friends split apart on opposing sides and killing one another because we believe differently? Why does this thought fill both of you with such glee that you just hope and pray it comes to this so you can re-enlist, and enlist and kill fellow Americans with the name of the US Government and US Military at your back? To me the thought of a civil war terrifies me, I can't imagine hoping for such an outcome and being excited at the prospect. |

After seeing Obama in his first term and watching the way he handled the position as President helped me decide and I finally got my butt in gear and started caring, been voting Dem since...which in the big scheme isn't long, but I'm still young. |

If they had any kind of courage, they wouldn't be afraid of everything on earth and need Trump to protect them. As someone once said: "Only weak people need strong leaders." They brought their own private army to march with them in Charlottesville, shooting and attacking and killing people, and the whole time they were scared shitless of everyone else there (except the police, of course, who protected the Nazis with the guns because freedom! instead of the decent human beings who don't want the KKK marching around).
What these guys DO have the guts for is bombing daycare centers in federal buildings, or ganging up on gay people, or gathering in large crowds to lynch lone minorities. |

I think there has been an attempt to inflame the other batshit crazies running around out there on the loose, but beyond terrorist (cowardly) style attacks I honestly wonder if some of that crew could organize a circle jerk at a boy's summer camp, let alone some kind of military action. No it won't. Impeachment would lead to little more than red faces, "both sides do it" idiocy, tell-all, best-selling books, and angry rants on message boards.
Anything that removes us from complacency and convenience, anything that takes us out of our air conditioned homes and off our easy-payment, low-down butts, anything that takes us away from Netflix and gaming consoles is simply not going to happen. No wars... not even civil ones. We're far too lazy, the weed is far too good, the beer too inexpensive, and the next high-tech phone variation comes out soon. If you have objective evidence that directly points to a national civil conflict as a plausible and potential consequence to impeachment though, I'd love to read it; otherwise I read your premise as little more than just another creative, post-apocalyptic, dystopian fantasy that television networks shows run weekly. |
