Perhaps the one place where Confed. statues should stay

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Officials with the National Park Service said the Confederate monuments at Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania will not be removed from the battlefield.....

...The Gettysburg battlefield has more than 1,300 monuments that tell the story of the deadliest engagement in the Civil War. Thirty of them are dedicated to Confederate states, military units and individuals. More than 7,000 soldiers died in the Battle of Gettysburg from July 1 to July 3, 1863.

1. I think they are also okay within Confedrate cemeteries.

2. We vist Gettysburg 2 to 4 times a year

The battlefields and the museums are the places thy belong. we need to learn from the history.

3. I have to admit I love the one at Manassas,

next to the train tracks from where I first saw it rising out of the morning mist. It's an ordinary soldier.

Some places are museum themselves.
