National Inquirer Headline---This is Like Pouring Gasoline on a Fire

Tabloid trash like this fuels the hatred. Be sure to read all the little headlines, too.

3. Why doesn't someone sue this shit rag out of existence?

They print things that are demonstrably false.

5. We have no laws in this country prohibiting falsehoods, except

where it's held to defame a person, or, since the advent of the right wing, possibly some businesses and farm produce in some states.

7. Plenty of the stuff they print is defamatory.

Look at what Peter Thiel was able to do to Gawker on behalf of Hulk Hogan. Someone should do the same to the Enquirer.

Last year, before the election, they actually printed an article claiming Hillary Clinton was morbidly obese (and hiding it ... somehow).

8. If Hillary Clinton cares to sue for defamation, she can

do so. The bar is higher for a person who's put themselves into the public eye than it is for purely private persons. The example you cited might very well cross that bar.

But your complaint was about "falsehoods", and for that, without defamation, there's no remedy.
