Ok, so let me get this straight...

1.Putin gets rid of 755 American diplomats from Russia.

2. Trump praises Putin for it and says it will help the U.S. save money.

3. The diplomats still get paid even if they have to leave Russia.

4. Trump doesn't know a damn thing.

5. Trump cannot and will not say anything negative about Putin.

myriad Presidential vacations and excessive security costs at all his properties, and we can afford to build a wall that sane people know is a waste of money, we can afford more unnecessary wars and countless young people dying from it.

But we cannot afford decent healthcare for all the people in this country.

This is a game he's playing. Has nothing to do with reality and he doesn't believe what he says. It distracts people away from his problem areas. Quit following the bling.

This isn't a rude tweet or a golf weekend. This is the president' response to a foreign nation throwing out all our diplomats.

Seems like the kind of thing that matters.

He is ginning up his base by saying crazy things he knows aren't true, but gets cheering from his base. It might also tick off Putin if Trump acts like he doesn't care. Bomb Alaska? He'll say he never liked it anyway, too cold. The second desired effect he's getting is distraction away from looking at his ties to Russia. That's what I meant.

I wish people would quit being so shocked by what he does next and concentrate instead on reeling him in, or enforcing the laws he is supposed to be following. People who are still shocked by Trump are not ready to take necessary action.

People say there is no evidence of collusion while time after time Trump puts Russian interests ahead of the U.S. That is why I have absolutely no doubt there was collusion and Trump himself is a party.

to my comment on sarcasm.

I do believe that President Narcissist DOES think he's being sarcastic, or making a joke. he's certainly flippant. many of his voters hear that in his speeches, and they think it's hilarious.

to dismiss that aspect is short-sighted in understanding how to combat him.

Apparently the staff gets lots of extra training, plus there's temp housing when they return, because most were in Russia for long term. NPR had a segment on it. I was driving and didn't catch the whole thing.

Sarcasm and joking about our enemies in a fraught situation such as this, by a POTUS, IS NOT DONE.

THE EXPULSION OF DIPLOMATS IS NEVER FUNNY.

Oh, and BTW, since the country involved is RUSSIA, this action by Putin and sniveling reaction by Trump is NOT A DISTRACTION from........

RUSSIA.
