It's hard to believe Team Romney is really considering Condi for Veep...

...unless they want to keep the Tea Party racists at home this year.

Could they be that optimistic that she'll help the ticket, or is it just a diversion from "1040 Gate?"

Go boy! Get him! No, don't look over there!

ah, hell it's Friday. It will die by Monday. Romney will be walmking around unmolested in October with that smelly shit all over him. They don't care.

They are considering a woman on the ticket but it's not Condi. They are planting her name to see how the public reacts to a woman on the ticket, after the debacle of Sarah Palin.

More likely, they are looking at the sweet, unthreatening Senator from New Hampshire, Kelly Ayotte, or the very popular Tea Party Governor from South Carolina, Nikki Haley? But not Condi...

had - proof to themselves that they are not really racist. "They don't dislike African Americans - just the wrong kind of African Amerians." She might be a bit "too liberal" for some of them. But I think they will swallow it if they think it will help beat Obama. If I was a GOP strategist I would be highly favorable to nominating Ms. Rice for Vice President

Traditionally (at least in recent years) the Veep nominee plays the role of campaign attack dog, allowing the Presidential candidates to stay (or at least attempt to stay) above the fray. Condi as a nasty attack dog just cut it, imo. They would be forced to have Romney take that role, and that's not going to sell well with independent voters.

Make no mistake - she is evil, she should be in prison along with the rest of the Bush cabal. But she is also smart - much more so than Palin could have ever aspired to be.

The current teabaggers don't really seem to like intelligent people too much.

Now someone like Santorum, on the other hand, they'd be just peachy keen with him as VP

Santorum over someone like Condi? Like you say, she is evil and should be rotting in prison along with the BFEE. Still, she would bring something to the RMoney party they are lacking - originality. I've never seen such a fake campaign as the one RMoney is running. They all strike me as great big phonies!

Not only that, I doubt she wants to revisit that old terror memo thing again. Something about al qaida set to strike at U.S., something another. Plus, the only terrorism Romney knows is financial terror against U.S. workers.
