Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI have not spent a lot of time observing Jeff Sessions in his career.
I am surprised when he does not show up in a CSA uniform in public considering his ideas so far in this job.
However, recusing himself from the Russia investigation may be the most honest and ethical thing he has ever done. No wonder Trump does not like it...honest and ethical are foreign concepts to him.

(369 posts)1. Well, if you'll remember, Sessions was under a lot of heat at the time for lying to Congress
in his confirmation hearings, and the heat was intensifying. It made him "nervous" (as Kamala Harris also does) and he recused himself to relieve the pressure. Not much to do with honor, in my opinion.

(6,347 posts)2. I can only imagine Trump screaming at the TV during Jeff's recusal presser...
..."Now he gets an f'ing conscience !!!"
I have an intuition that Sessions is going to make trump fire him. As much as I deplore his misguided attitudes and principles, it takes a lot of strength to carry that much hatred for long so publicly. Strength wasted on the worsening of our society but, strength none the less. I'm sure Sessions' is walking into the office everyday saying to himself "I've been hated by the best of them and this asshat isn't going to be the one who breaks me". I think the trump-man is going to be surprised by Sessions' resolve in this.
Note: all that said about Sessions and strength, he's still the worst piece of chit we've ever had in the AG role (and there have been a lot of pieces of chit in that role).

He's a tough ole bird and it's strange to be grateful and pulling for a despicable racist.
(Minor little fact: TRump is six months older than Sessions.)
