1. Ross douthat is primarily a never trumper, he is conservative leaning.. I've read him for years...

He is not a "Clinton supporter" .. Clinton's own record has not been in support of tax cuts.

3. he probably voted for her , but his reasons wouldn't have been because she would cut taxes

he's mainly conservative.

He occasionally writes some good pieces, he's moderate, but he also despises Trump and the extremes of modern conservatism.

4. Also, you have to remember this is the conservative one trick pony - cutting taxes solves everything

It's what they'll try to sell when Trump tries to get tax reform passed - e.g corp tax down to 15%. We'll hear that reducing it will create jobs ( a lie) and boost the economy (another lie)
