WHOA. Don Jr.'s false statement Sat. was drafted by WH aides & seen by Trump. This wasn't Jr being dopey. This was an attempted WH cover-up.

The president's son idiot lied and the president's staff helped him do it. They lied to cover up possible collusion. This is decidedly bad.

I mean, Rummy, Cheney, Condi Rice...that bunch was evil but they were pretty savvy. This bunch, not so much.

good liars, up until now. When Trump was a private citizen he could get away with all the lies because no one had the time or resources to check them. Also, his lies to business associates were in a gray area, but not necessarily unlawful. It seems he carried that same thought process with him to the White House, but now there ARE people who have the time AND resources to check them, and they no longer fall in that gray area. They're illegal.

In order to be a successful liar one must have an almost flawless memory. First, to recall all his previous lies. Secondly, he must be able to bring those lies together into a seamless narrative, that can't be picked apart and be shown to be nothing but a series of lies. No one in the Trump family possesses the mental acuity necessary to be a successful liar. They can barely remember each other's names.

Bottom line, the Trump crime family is going to come crashing to the ground. In business they lied, cheated, and stole at will, without paying any penalty. In government, they're toast.
