Supreme Court

Listened to NPR on the way home tonight. They were discussing the fact that Gorsuch is much more far right than they put on. That Kennedy will retire before trump's turn is up. That Merrick was supposed to be picked. ( with turtle obstructing makes me think he knew the election was going to trump the entire time) that the court will now be extreme far right. Try to undo the last 20 to 30 years but I think more like 100 years. They said the court is liberal. When has that court been liberal? Just think they control congress, president, and court. How exactly is there going to be a fair election ever again? And if they call to re write the constitution? Just a bit maudlin.

All we can hope for are a bunch of very unlikely scenarios, most so far out, illegal or catastrophic we have little hope for recovery in a hundred years. We can get back the house, we can get back the senate, but there's nothing we can do with the SCOTUS but wait and hope the dice fall in our favor some time in the future. Any bill, law or vote can be appealed to the court and only with a lot of wasted time, a super majority of congress or possibly states can override them.

NPR also mentioned that Kasich was with the Colorado Governor talking about how bad the health care bill is. That Portman is being pressured by the people in Ohio and Kasich.

Pressure is the best tool we have. We need representatives who will work for the interests of the people. Too bad the ones we have for the most part need to be hit in the political bone so much. All it should take are ears to hear with and hearts to listen with.

Though it would probably require the Supreme Court to visibly overreach before it would be considered.

So if we are at a 5 to 4 split now, we would need 2 more to gain control and have 11 judges. If we lose another liberal judge it would be 6 to 3, so we would need 4 more or 13 judges. That is... out there.

I think Gorsuch is a Russian plant through and through and the big prize in this whole fake election. And McConnel.. he knew. He was in on it. This is a coup and we have a facist government.

Attacking the news for doing their job. They do not want anything out that makes them look bad.
I believe the Trumpsters will do whatever they are told without conscience.
