Trump: Calling Elizabeth Warren racist slur ‘Pocahontas’ is ‘an insult to Pocahontas’ — but I do it anyway

President Donald Trump acknowledged on Sunday that using the using the name “Pocahontas” as a racist attack on Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was an insult to the heritage and memory of Pocahontas — but he suggested that he would continue to do it anyway.

During an interview with Fox & Friends host Pete Hegseth that aired on Sunday, Trump accused Democrats of “obstruction” of his health care reform effort.

“How do you overcome come that when Sen. Elizabeth Warren says people are literally going to die because of GOP’s health care bill?” Hegseth wondered.

“I think she’s a hopeless case,” Trump replied. “I call her Pocahontas. And that’s an insult to Pocahontas. I actually think that she’s somebody that’s got a lot of hatred, a lot of anger.”

Projecting his own self and issues onto his political enemies. If anyone has "a lot of hatred, a lot of anger," it's Donald "Two Scoops/Asshole" Trump.

No Blotus, it's an insult to every Native American in the country. If she or we aren't angry we aren't paying attention or as dumb and corrupt and you Orange Oz.

Warren was told, growing up, that the family had some Native American blood. Warren passed that statement on. Given the state of genealogical records on the frontier, people who investigated were unable to prove or disprove the statement with any confidence. From Warren's Wikipedia bio:

"The New England Historic Genealogical Society found a family newsletter that alluded to a marriage license application that listed Elizabeth Warren’s great-great-great grandmother as part Cherokee, but could not find the primary document and found no proof of her descent.[64][69][70] The Oklahoma Historical Society said that finding a definitive answer about Native American heritage can be difficult because of intermarriage and deliberate avoidance of registration.[71]"

The right-wing lie was that Warren falsely claimed Native ancestry so as to get hired at Harvard on an affirmative-action basis. In fact, Warren was already a highly regarded scholar by the time Harvard recruited her. Her ancestry played no part in the hiring decision.

This story surprises me. He showed his true loving, caring qualities and superior intelligence and critical thinking skills when he ran for president, and has done so every day since. This must be Fake News. /sarc

“I watched her campaigning for Hillary and she was so angry,” he added.
