Presidents can only fake it for so long.

Trump is a faker. Always has been. But, when a President has no skills, no knowledge, and no will to learn, the faking soon leads to serious, serious errors. And those errors affect millions, if not billions of people. Unlike a musician who is able to fake harmoniously when he doesn't know the music, based on decades of experience, Trump has no faking skills. When he plays by ear, as he must, he is off-key.

This President has not acknowledged the deaths of Navy personnel. He has said nothing about terrorism from non-Islamic sources here in the United States and abroad. He has remained silent about congressional attempts to gut the healthcare safety net for millions of Americans. He knows nothing about international diplomacy and is pissing off leaders of our allies and adversaries alike.

Today, Russia has shut down a communications system in Syria that is designed to keep various forces from attacking each other. Our Air Force shot down a plane, rightly or wrongly. We failed to communicate about that, so now Russia is threatening to attack our planes in Syria. Their shutting down the communication lines is a bad omen. Trump, in his deliberate ignorance, has no tools with which to calm down that situation. The results could be very harmful.

Trump knows nothing. Trump learns nothing. Trump does nothing when he should do something and does things when he should not do things. We are led by a President who is a faker. He is not fit for the office. He is incompetent at governance. He should never have been elected. The pity is that he was elected. He was inaugurated. We have little we can do to correct that in a timely way.

Eventually, Trumps faking will mean that all of the notes in the tune that is being played are the wrong notes. The result will be cacophony. We are approaching that situation now. I'm at a loss to know what can be done.

I am worried.

1. Remember he's used to reality tv

when hours of taping is edited to produce a few minutes of a show. Now, everything is shown, including all those in between bits.

Trump's mic is always on. He always has the spotlight, too. Trouble is, he has no script, and is lousy at improvisation.

Same here Lucinda...except I am looking at baby bunny rabbit pix my teen daughter showed me...because I am sickened and livid at the enabling the GOP (and yes, some "Dems" - hello Joe Manchin) are doing to enable this traitorous man-baby....and listening to that scumbag Newt Gingrich after hearing about the teen girl beaten with a bat, made me come close to throwing something at the TV...

I did let out a primal scream however...helped a little...maybe need to go do some yoga and then look at more kitty videos and baby rabbits...

It really, really pissed me off. The meanness that this government exhibits is the antithesis of what being an American means.

and hide to escape the SHAME we need to heap on them, peacefully and legally, that is.

No republican should be able to buy a cup of coffee, if they support Trump, without patriots yelling SHAME SHAME in their faces.

33. Everyone, and I do mean all living persons are endangered by orange assface.

This doesn't just apply to Americans, but to the entire world! Drumpf and Putin have set out to destroy the world's order and to make Russia the pre-eminent world power. They want to turn America into a dictatorship (similar to Russia) and Drumpf intends to use that to make himself very rich. I think Putin will turn on Drumpf, once all sanctions have been removed and NATO gutted, but will stay BFF's (in drumpf's mind anyway) until that happens.

Drumpf is the permanent worst person in the world! # RESIST

will just walk away. He does not care, he can't, and he can't help himself. He'll let it all fall apart and the GOP will rejoice, because he's doing their bidding by default with no direction needed.

9. Yes, that's my fear. While poor decisions by a President

can sometimes be ignored, there are many areas in which poor decisions can have huge consequences that are not simple to correct. This is Trump's most basic flaw. He acts and speaks without a solid background of knowledge and experience. He insults those who are our friends and lets things slip by when done by those who are our historical adversaries.

If a nation or leader flatters Donald Trump, he is pleased and rewards that behavior. If a nation or leader suggests a different course of action than Trump has rashly decided on, he is displeased and punishes that behavior. He acts on impulse rather than on serious analysis and consideration. He acts on instinct, but his instincts are faulty and destructive.

At some point, he will do something that is beyond ignoring and the repercussions will cause irreparable harm. It could happen at any time, and without warning, since Trump acts quickly, whether he is right or wrong.

13. I seriously wonder, has the US ever had someone like this, and with about 35% of the nation

still backing them? I can't recall anything like this in my time. I doubt the founders envisioned it, but then they thought probably that congress would be responsive and take action.

We're in such uncharted waters and congress is filled with many ineffective members. It doesn't matter, R, D, or I we're in a serious situation. Congress needs to take off their damn stupid political hats and figure out a course of swift action.

My fear is this country could fall apart swiftly under the right conditions and be left a seriously tattered nation. Also, as this ass continues, much of the world is turning away from the US considering it an unhealthy nation.

And on top of this we have endless 7x24 hate propaganda spewed by the typical outlets and sources twisting the minds of many.

situation here and people need to grow up, act like adults and deal with the situation rationally. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of faith in the republicans, they will back this disaster until it blows up in their faces.

This country feels like a tinderbox to me and one tiny little match is all it will take to turn it in to a giant bonfire.

There have been inept presidents who haven't been able to get anything done, like James Buchanan and Millard Fillmore. There have been presidents who turned a blind eye to internal corruption, like Warren G. Harding. There was Nixon, who was similar to Trump in a number of ways (all of them bad) but at least he staffed the executive branch, conducted the regular work of the presidency in a competent fashion, and didn't act like a right idiot on national television. Trump is Nixon with a lobotomy and too much Red Bull.

10. And this is what happens when alternate reality causes Americans to vote

For a "businessman to change Washington" instead of understanding the vast difference between commercial and political leadership skills. They got what they wanted, and what they wanted is putting all of us in peril.

This is a direct offshoot of the entire tea party debacle, which would have preferred to stop government in its tracks rather than finessing solutions to complex problems.

I concur. I am worried as well.

The bill preventing Trump from removing sanctions on Russia will tell Putin it may be time to cut his useful idiot loose and go back to the full on war, cyber and otherwise.

Trump didnt win the election, didnt win the EC. Everyday we allow this insanity to continue we get closer to possible annihilation of all life.

I doubt if Dumpf has the attention span or the intelligence to read that book, but his minions most certainly do. Leave the nation reeling from so many atrocities and then take advantage by assaulting our democracy under the guise of crisis control. He is completely tone deaf, and is an absolutely wretched dancer! The "music" he is capable of making is a succession of jarring sounds.

In the musical vein I had an idea for a pic based on the story of Amphion, son of Zeus. It is told that Amphion played his lyre so divinely that the stones used to build the walls of Thebes put themselves into place.

43. I'm beginning to think his crazed obstruction regarding Russia's hacking is

because it's so bad and so extensive that he couldn't have won the election. There are rumors now emerging (note I said 'rumors') that actual voting was targeted in a handful of states.

Trump protested too loud and too long about how the Democrats want to change the election results. Maybe he knows something we don't know yet.

If we were to find out I think nothing would change. Tackling the electoral college is way too complicated. It would be like trying to excise a tumor only to find out it has tentacles deeply embedded in every aspect of the body. That the operation might kill the patient.

And from what I've seen we don't have the will to do anything like that.

He's always vague and uses simple, glowing, repetitive words (like "very, very good" and phrases that sound wonderful, but in reality he's not saying anything in particular. Perhaps unknowingly, Trump uses Glittering Generalities, a well know propaganda technique that encourages his audience to have an emotional response and strong positive feelings for him personally even though he never provides any details or explanation.
