MARTIN BASHIR IS SPANKING LUKE RUSSERT'S ASS LIKE A SANTANA CONGA SOLO

BASHIR: "Are John Boehner and Mitch McConnell fighting for the top 3 percent?" (Their assertion that not extending the Bush Tax Cuts would stifle "job creation&quot .

Russert wouldn;t answer and started giggling. He said "I'm not John Boehner or Mitch McConnell! Yoi have to have them on your show!"

Bashir said "We've asked, they won't come on."

The closest Russert would come to answering the question is to say that it's a "talking point."

At the end of the segment Russert called it a "tough interview."

Bashir refused to let the smarmy repub-loving shithead off the hook, kept asking him the same question which Russert danced around each time, looking more and more like the repub talking head he is.

That's what happens when one gets their job due to their father's legacy instead of getting it based on talent/merit.

Russert really is loathesome, imo.

When Martin Bashir explained that since Boehner won't come on his show, he had to take it instead. Russert shot back "Tougher interview than Michael Jackson!", a reference to Bashir's much-publicized one-on-one interviews with the King of Pop in 2003.

Oooh, snap! Got in a good one, huh Luke?? (Petty jackass)

I don't ol drunk boy brokaw is happy with hippies like Maddow, Schultz and Bashir being employed by his network. He was good buddies with lil russert's daddy.

Wish I'd seen that. Lil Russert is a pretty sad excuse for a reporter and I'm sure everyone knows why he's working there.

But why would Luke Russert have such a difficult time answering such a simple question?

Or he could have said, "It appears so, Martin." But he tried to dodge the question as if he were protecting the Republicans.

I thought I could spot one better than that. Or at least I thought a network'd know better than to put a drunk on prime time. Kind of an unpredictable sort, you know, and hard to understand. Plus they never understand anybody else either.

what he should have done, being that he is a reporter and not wishing, for that reason, to show any bias? I didn't see the piece, and I like much of what I've heard/seen of Bashir, but I'm not sure that russert really did anything he shouldn't have done here.

...because Bashir's question was based in cold, hard facts & figures. And as you acknowledge, you didn't see the piece. Bashir wasn;t asking Russert to "bash" Boehner and McConnell. The fact is that the segment of society they are "worried" about...the "job creators" who won;t get a Bush-sized tax cut...comes out to about 3% of the over-$250K crowd. It was completely reasonable for Bashir to ask the question, and Russert simply tucked his tail between his legs and acted like a giggling coward. Please don't give him credit he does not deserve for being a "reporter."
