Visited HP for the first time in a while. Boy the layout is awful to me. Looks like a 'fake news'

spot. What ever happened to them? The link has the look and feel of RW fake news gathering spot.

Quickly ran back to DU.

4. I stopped going...

Everything has to have a video. Why do they think we can't read?
Plus hated the layout too. I think it started about a month ago.

11. Why do decent websites (regardless of content) always think that people want more glitz,

more videos, more color? They must fall prey to pushy website design marketers?

Don't they ever survey actual users? We want simple. We want to get where we want to
go quickly. Outlook - perfect example - they added some stupid "focused" messaging, "other" emails, "all emails" and "unread emails". WTH - JUST WANT 3 THINGS FROM EMAIL (1) MY UNREAD - NEWEST FIRST ! (2) ABILITY TO BLOCK SPAM (3)ABILITY TO ADD INBOX FOLDERS

If you have ever seen DrudgeReport (I said regardless of content - perfect example of simple design - you can see all the stories all on the same page and you just click and you are there. This design hasn't changed since forever ago - when we used to actually pull it up to see the exit polls.

12. Me too. Too much work to get info. I liked the old layout way better. Plus they seem

to have blinders on with Russiagate. Hardly ever anything about it.

5. It's become a celebrity gossip

rag. Full of junk news. I still have the habit of checking in to HuffPost, but I will give up soon. Sad.

6. It has a National Inquirer look to it. I was not always a Ariana Huffington fan, but without her...

at the helm, this seems to be where they are going.
