Man Cut the Throats of 2 Portland Train Passengers Who Tried to Stop Bullying of Muslim Women

Witness: Man Cut the Throats of Two Passengers Who Tried to Stop Anti-Muslim Bullying of Women on Northeast Portland Train

The attack occurred in the Hollywood District. "He said, 'Get off the bus, and get out of the country because you don't pay taxes here.'"

A man riding the MAX in Northeast Portland fatally stabbed two passengers who tried to stop him from hurling racial and anti-Muslim insults at women on the train, witnesses tell WW's news partner KATU-TV.

The suspect is currently in Portland police custody. The stabbing occurred at about 4:30 this afternoon as the light-rail train pulled into the Hollywood Transit Center.

Details of the triple stabbing, which killed two men, are still emerging. But eyewitness reports to KATU and The Oregonian indicate it was an anti-immigrant hate crime.

I'm just speechless. All these folks who perpetrate hate crimes need to be locked up. only way it will stop.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, based in Washington, D.C., tonight decried the killings and asked President Donald Trump "to speak out personally against rising bigotry and acts of racial violence in America targeting Muslims and other minority groups."

The attack falls on the eve of Ramadan, the month of fasting that is among the most sacred holidays for Muslims.

I hope the perpetrator is locked up for a long time. This is a direct result of the hatred that Trump has fomented in this country. He is legitimizing this hatred and violence and I hold him responsible for this sickness.

and why I've trained to use that knife in self-defense situations. Because I would have definitely been one of the ones who stood up to the bullying if I had been there. I'm not going to let any racist/fascist motherfucker intimidate me or anyone else. I would also recommend that anyone else that is as mouthy as me get some serious training in self-defense ASAP

This is also why these murderous thugs can NOT be argued with, they have to be stopped by any means necessary.
