With the weather getting so extreme (pic heavy)

The time may be soon approaching that we won't be able to grow our food the way we're used to. Too many droughts and severe storms and flooding and temperatures like we're having these days will make it much harder to grow food on the land directly. But we'll still be able to grow food if we do it right. These skyfarms look pretty doable to me. And yeah, even animals in skyscrapers are doable.

And this is our only solution . . . then it is a pretty cool one.

But aside from that - it could be used in inner cities NOW to provide people locally grown food

intruded on farm land where the home owners have swooned because of the 'odors' coming from beef or chicken production. How would urbanites ever deal with it?

The animal production skyscrapers wouldn't have to be in cities or urban areas. They wouldn't have to be skyscrapers either but they would cut down on a lot of being at the mercy of climate change and weather extremes and the food the animals eat could be grown in the same structures.

I'm sure there are other solutions. It can be done with a little bit of vision and careful planning.

7. The reality is that meat production must stop in favor of fruit, vegatables and grain.

The amount of energy wasted on meat is way out of range from sustainable minimal food production. It will be a matter of survival eventually.

PS: ...and I love steak ...so I am not happy about this.

Everyone could eat fresh food all the time. And it would create new jobs very quickly.
