Not that I wouldn't love to see them receive the same treatment they gave the protestors, but because doing so would send the wrong message. That may be the way they do things in Turkey under a despot. We need to show them that, in a democracy, we put people on trial and then sentence them accordingly. In this case, they can each serve twenty years hard labor.

and that any judgments for damages result in asset seizures against Erdogan's personal wealth.

Of course I also hope that the Turkish people wake the fuck up and throw his crazy ass in prison by then, but these days I can't even figure out what the people of this country are doing.
