1. Not sure what all the complaining is about...

I am sure there are enough rich fascists in NOLA to build a museum to put all these things in....

They could call it the New Orleans Museum of Treason.

3. That is an excellent point

Their are plenty of private heritage organizations that can prominently feature his statue.

The same argument can be made for manger scenes. Almost invariably their is a church within a mile or to that has sufficient yardage to feature any sort of manger scene.

8. Honestly, most of NOLA is in favor of it and wants actual NO heroes honored.

Yeah, there are young supremacist wannabes but for the most part the mind set of the city is one of openness, family, eating and drinking, music, and parting you from your money. The protests number in the fives of people.

The city's history is secure. A couple of statues won't change it.

Take down Ignatius Reilly, now, and you'll have a fight on your hands.

4. Even among his peers of Confederate Generals he was not highly regarded.

Vain, pompous, pretentious, argumentative if alive today he would have made a good Trump cabinet candidate.

5. Where are the statues being taken?

Are they to be destroyed, or just sold off?

6. Good question, I'm not sure

I thought I read somewhere that they would be held in storage and perhaps allocated to a museum at some point but that was just chatter on the live feed i was watching earlier.

7. Wasn't PT Beauregard over by City Park?

I left New Orleans years and years ago, and I somehow remember it being in that area?

9. Yes, he was at the Esplanade entrance to City Park.

Apparently now he's in a junkyard awaiting disposition. I'm not kidding.
