Republican representatives can speak directly to their base without having to worry about inconvenient questions and unruly crowds.

Local talk radio hosts will provide friendly formats to allow Republican reps and their staff to address tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of their most faithful constituents.

Republican politicians are among friends on those stations and will repeat the lies and distortions those stations have been selling. They will say things they may not in any other public forum because they know Democrats aren’t listening.

Those shows are ammunition for future campaign advertising and debates and some of those friendly chats will be available as podcasts a few days later.

Those are the constituents who hear the excuses for Trump all day and will threaten their reps if the talk radio gods name them for trying to do something patriotic.

Some of those radio stations broadcast university and professional sports to attract advertisers. Protests or other efforts to draw attention to those associations will scare the crap out of the GOP because when media notices, advertisers will peel off.

At least 257 or 43% of the 600 stations that headline Rush Limbaugh broadcast sports for 88 major publicly funded universities (list below). The Republican talk radio monopoly/PSYOPS is already in financial difficulty thanks to efforts like STOPRUSH and FLUSHRUSH and even Russian money could not save it if those universities started honoring their own mission statements.

Those stations are the orange Samson’s hair. More than any other political factor they will determine how long Trump stays in office and whether he faces real consequences. Without them he has no chance. As those universities reject them and they convert to sports talk and music and begin to open up for liberal talkers, Republican politicians will begin to feel free to desert Trump. The GOP will fall apart. And Democrats can get supermajorities in 2018.
