1. More likely something that would send him to prison.
The FBI doesn't care about people's weird sex, which in most cases isn't even illegal. They do care about things like money laundering and espionage. Remember that when Sally Yates was asked which statutory violations they were looking at, she refused to answer because that would give away what they thought Flynn had actually been doing. You can be damn sure they don't care if he was cavorting with Russian hookers.

3. FBI might not care, but the party involved if a military macho man would care...bigly!

4. If that's all it was, the FBI and the other intel services
wouldn't be investigating "underlying conduct" that they can't talk about publicly, and Dolt 45 wouldn't be so frantically pretending Flynn didn't do anything. I will bet you kroner to krugerrands that whatever the classified materials contain (which will eventually become public if there's a prosecution), it will have to do with either a financial crime or a violation of the Espionage Act.

5. I'm thinking that she meant
that the lie itself exposed him to blackmail by the Russians.
The underlying behavior was the quid pro quo (lifting sanctions, etc. in order for Putin to help elect tiny hands). The phone calls re sanctions were made by Flynn while Obama was still President. Logan Act violation, conspiracy, treason ?? Could easily by wrong, tho!) |
