It pisses me off to no end when:

I listen to pundits talk about how the Democrats lost the election. No they didn't lose it. First of all, Hillary won by 3,000,000 votes. Secondly and more importantly, the repukes cheated. They cheated just enough in 3 Northern States to put trump over the top in the Electoral College. In addition to massive voter suppression, they colluded with the Russians and I have a feeling that most of the top repukes were in on it from day one. That's one of the reasons they staled the Supreme Court confirmation. Why don't the fucking pundits point that out and some real reporting for a change.

Voter suppression and gerrymandering are the greatest threats to our Democracy. The white male authority structure is too racist and misogynistic to care.

If more people voted less republicans would be elected. See the special election regulations in Montana for further proof.

Right now the WH is held hostage by a bloated orange ass and we have to sit idle and watch this buffoon act like a petulant child. I have no faith in the investigations b/c I believe it goes deeper than Donny and his cohorts are capable of controlling the narrative.

60,000 people voting different in three states is all it took.

Or, excuse me, Russian hackers adding 60,000 to DT's totals is all it took. Not enough, in the face of 125,000,000 votes to get anybody to give a serious second look.

However, when people started to take a closer look, anyway, the Russians sent in agent Stein to run an interference obfuscation mission and muddle everything up even more so that there would not be any serious audit of the votes.

Remember the vote totals tally sheet from one county in MI where the total number of ballots pulled on election day was less than the total votes cast when you added up all the totals for all the candidates? It was off by about 1/4 the total votes, such that for every 4 votes cast, a fifth was added. That should have been audited, hand count every ballot to find where those "extra" votes went. Dollars to donuts they were each and every one in the R column.

But, in this era of instant gratification, MTV-attention-span, and the ever-changing 24-hour news cycle, where there needs to be a new "BIGGEST STORY EVER&quot tm) every hour, if there's not a smoking gun *RIGHT NOW* nobody cares.

We're seeing that on the big Russia story too.

OK. I'm ranting. I didn't man to go off into a rant. Sorry.

and then being deemed the winner.

then have endless analysis about what the losing team should have done better.

"so on that play where the winners had 12 men on the field and the losers only had the proper 11, and where the winner made several illegal blocks and started offsides, i think the losing team should have put in their player from wisconsin for that play, big mistake on the part of the losers on that play!"

imagine someone cheated at tennis, paid off the officials, repeatedly made shots that were out-of-bounds but the officials never called them on it, but always called foul or fault on the loser, even when instant replay made it clear the decision should have been otherwise.

then the analysts say the loser shouldn't have charged the net but should have protected the baseline better....

Say the democrats had won with an overwhelming majority, but there was possible influence that a foreign entity was meddling in the election.

You know what the GOP would do if they knew that was a possibility? They'd be impeaching and imprisoning faster than the next Viagra single packs commercial airs on The O'Reilly Factor! And then they'd rub salt in the wound by blaming us for allowing foreign interference.

especially when one of the media pundits says the Democratic party is in disarray or how bad Obama left the party. Sure, in the states we have lost a lot of seats but that is mainly due to gerrymandering not because the Democrats are so despised. We really need to get some better spokespeople our there on the airwaves. We need to conduct training for our public figures on how to frame and re-frame the GOP talking points to our advantage and how to control a public debate.

....The Democrats lost hugely down ticket too. Lost the Houses and the State offices and the local offices. There were multiple reasons for this but it's clear the Dems need to quickly come up with strategies and policies that are more mistake resilient.

For instance, if the DNC had allowed a 50 state strategy since 2008 we might still have some clout in the middle of the country. Or if the Dems had raised hell about gerrymandering two decades ago we might still control Congress.
If the media is against us then we need to figure out how to outwit them---use the individual bully pulpit better. Elizabeth Warren is fantastic at this. We need more like her.

It's not all about going more left or more right but also seeing how our message is getting/not getting out and understanding that we are in a really new time. There does need to be some housecleaning.

She didn't. She got more votes, but that's not how we keep score in America. Like it or not, the electoral college is how someone wins in a presidential race.

It's like a football team saying, 'we won because we rushed for 300 more yards than the other team'. It would sound ridiculous because that's not how you keep score.

If you want to say she won because the other side cheated and break the rules, that's fine. But, don't say she won because of popular vote count. That's not how we keep score here.
