Desperation to win something before 100 days, Trump pushing a worse healthcare bill.

Don't be fooled. And don't let up on the calls and protests to Congress. There will be at least two parts that will be worse for citizens. Focus on those and be relentless.

2. in a way i don't blame him for wanting a win at this point.

while it plays into his dysfunctional obsession with "winning", he's easily on track for the biggest "fail" first 100 days with the sole exception of william henry harrison. who's most notable action in office was dying about after inauguration.

that said, the timing reeks of desperation. i'd say this could lead him to push for an worse law than he otherwise would, but frankly any law republicans would consider in this area (eh, do i really need this qualifier?) would be a disaster....

3. Why Not Blame Him

100 days doesn't entitle you to a reward of a win especially if you are as awful a president as he is. Blaming him gives him the responsibility for the mess he's making.

9. any president would *want* a win, particularly in the first 100 days.

of course, just about any other president wouldn't be in this mess of his own creation, and in any event would work hard to turn things around for the better. they'd set their sights on less controversial or challenging measures.

if i were in his shoes and decided to go on living anyway, i would push for the infrastructure bill. everyone agrees we need to shore up our infrastructure, and it creates jobs, so it's an easy win for him. he could even put in a tiny amount for his stupid wall and claim victory there as well.

anything republicans are likely to do on healthcare might be something they can spin on foxnews as a "win", but in reality it would be a huge loss for just about everyone, except maybe a small number of extremely rich people who would benefit from the tax cuts buried in the obamacare repeal.

And as long as his policies are as harmful and dreadful as they are I hope he never gets a win so I'm not going to even try and sort out what might be a positive direction for him.

thank goodness he's so incompetent, that's just about the only thing mitigating this 4-year debacle.

It has been reported that this version of the health care bill is even worse than the first, if that's possible

heist of democracy in history, literally the most treasonous thing to happen by orders of magnitude, the GOP are carrying on as if it's business as usual. This is the most extreme crime in US history. And yet, nothing is happening, except the continuing destruction.

What more will it take?

They can only really blame themselves and not Obama or Democrats after all Obama care was the Republican plan.

As long as they're trying to push a tax cut for the wealthy and call it health care reform, they will fail.

The 'dumb caucus' (formerly known as the tea party) are the Koch brother wing of the party and the Koch brothers uncompromisingly want Obamacare repealed. Rand Paul, wants to repeal Obamacare. What they are faced with (these republican congresspersons) is that the people they represent (in their district) and the people who pay them to win elections want OPPOSITE things.

The problem is that they've convinced a bunch of right wing voters that their life will immediately improve if Obamacare is repealed. Even if they succeed in repealing Obamacare, the lives of those people will not improve, and that's when it's time to pay the piper.

They're screwed either way. Of course, a lot of people will suffer if they succeed in repealing, but even in that instance it's not a long term victory for republicans.

They were stupid not to tackle tax reform 1st, raising taxes on the poor and cutting taxes on the rich is something Reps can all agree on and they could have rammed it through and claimed victory. They have accomplished nothing in 100 days, zero. The most Trump can say he's accomplished is he's put a bunch of extremists in charge of government agencies that they despise. And ramming a SCOTUS through as well.

Least effective first 100 days in my lifetime.

even the Koch fortune and the Trump (questionable) fortune. Make no mistake, Pootie has nothing but hatred for Americans. Jesus Christ, they really are that fucking stupid. They really are. There can only be one King, and it won't be the Kochs or Trump.

How dare they sell out the very country that allowed them to become rich, those fucking twisted scumbags.
