when i heard the 36 count or whatever it was i thought, how? This thing has a blast radius of 1 mile, if they were in the vacinity it seems like there would hardly be anything left. If they were in the tunnels, how did we get in there so quickly?

This bomb kills people with the pressure wave, turning their lungs to mush. They die by suffocation long before the burns kill them

Death-wise it's pretty similar to a chemical weapon.

Including all of their second-in-commanders! Only the head guy and a new, very nervous second in command will be left!

Just like Vietnam, except no one is calling BS on their numbers in the press.

Drop a big bomb out in the middle on nowhere, make up numbers, how can anyone refute them.

Hell, how can you refute that there were tunnels, why did they have tunnels in the middle of nowhere.

It seems to make the press giddy.

Like, cool Trump learned how to drop bombs, he's acting like a real president now.

Sad.

NPR has a piece yesterday about that area from an Afghan woman who lives there. She mentioned that there were a small group of IS fighters in tunnels up in the hills. She said the locals were more afraid of the Taliban than IS.. She said they are easy to spot as they are not Afghan..
Interesting piece..

But do they really have service up in those mountains, or in tunnels?

But if they did, that would be a way to loosely gauge it, I would think.

... Make a count, drop the bomb and look for squirters afterwards during BDA.

This particular spot is not a hubbub of activity so a count is well within the realm of possibility.
