...and most of the folks throwing it in my face don't have the time (or the brains) to hear that he was given a fair hearing and after a thorough investigation into this mindset and how that might play out on SCOTUS, the majority of senators concluded he was no fit for the highest court in the land.

The stupid is strong in these folks and they just can't see that Mitch refusing to do his job (advise and consent) is why we have perverted the judiciary with this guy.

May we wish him an early early retirement for whatever reason.

that's for sure.

Shameful... Can not wait for the Dems to be back in power and let the simple majority rule to the point of pounding the GOP into the ground...

Wishing good health on Ginsburg!! Stay strong RBG!!!

I have had to learn to control my despair and anger at the situation - usually by tuning out. Turn off the TV. Stay away from DU & other political sites. It was heartening to see the media actually do their job for a short period of time. But in the end, they are partly responsible for this asshole in office, so they will look for any reason at all to validate him as president, so they don't have to admit their complicity in putting this horribly compromised shithead in office.

Isn't the Court scheduled to hear a case on tax funds supporting religious schools? I'll go see if I can find it. My husband mentioned it this morning. How convenient that Neil I'm-for-rule-of-law-unless-your-Christian-religion-says-otherwise Gorscuh is now on the Court. We are so fucked. I have zero optimism.

on edit:

TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH V. COMER

snip...

If Trinity Lutheran wins, state and local governments will be required to give taxpayer funds to churches, synagogues and mosques.

Yeah, I can't see that being abused.

But lol if it passes we should propose taxing wall street to cover the cost. Pit the people jebus loves against the broke motherfuckers who voted for Trump, and let's see how long they can fight each other.
