BTW, Trumps climate executive order is in the headlines in Germany right now. The more liberal sites like ZEIT Online have pages full of reader comments mocking and ridiculing Trump, and only very few Trumpists (nicknames like "Trump ist Liebe" – "Trump is love&quot are happy about reviving coal. That really cheered me up a little bit.

Of course, our government failed to aggressively phase out coal power plants in recent years, so we're part of the problem, too. We have lots of mostly idle natural gas plants and export a lot of electricity, so coal is not really needed as much as we burn it right now. Maybe coal is better than natural gas though, since we have to buy natural gas from Russia, but have lots of lignite reserves in our own country...

fwiw they all hate Trump and are counting down till impeachment too.
