Texas Rep. Gohmert Calls for investigation of Kagan

Can I puke now?

http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/2012/06/gohmert-calls-for-investigation-of-justice-kagan-says-president-lied-about-healthcare-law.html/

Visibly angry, Tyler Rep. Louie Gohmert had harsh words on the steps of the Supreme Court following its healthcare ruling. Gohmert said that here had been lies in the president’s push to get the law through, going so far as to call out a key justice for investigation and possible impeachment.

“It’s a sad day for America that the Supreme Court of the United States will not accept that the president is a liar,” said Gohmert, a Republican of Tyler. He said Obama had promised the mandate would not be a tax but the Supreme Court had ruled that “of course” it would be.

“When in the course of human events it becomes clear that you have people who will not follow the law, it’s time to use orderly methods set forth in the Constitution to remove them from their offices, and get people who will abide by their oaths,” Gohmert said.

He added that the Supreme Court had essentially agreed that the president had lied to the American people but wouldn’t do anything about it because the people had voted and chosen this.

But his most controversial statements came when Gohmert called for an investigation of Justice Elena Kagan, who was appointed to the nation’s highest court in summer 2010.

He said that, during her confirmation proceedings to serve on the court, Kagan had claimed to have no role in crafting the healthcare law in her previous administration position as the solicitor general. Kagan served in that position when the law was implemented in 2010.
